As a boy, Ian wanted to be a writer. More specifically, he wanted to be a novelist. Even more specifically, he wanted to be a knovelist with a silent ‘k’. Nevertheless, Ian wrote his debut novel – The Life Lived – and has since completed three further novels seeking a home; a speculative mystery – The Untimely Deaths of Addison Palmer – a Middle Grade cli-fi/sci-fi comedy time travel adventure – The Time-Consuming Adventures of Harper Smedley – and a YA fantasy – The Children of Ulswick. Ian’s short fiction has appeared alongside Salman Rushdie and Margaret Atwood in the anthology Tales On Tweet, and his readings have included appearances at the Edinburgh International Book Festival. His stories have featured in a variety of online and print literary publications. Ian is an Entry Level Member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading.
